I’m constantly encouraged by the young people I meet. I’ve been privileged to co-chair a youth leadership program here in my region for 5 years. If you believe that our young people are not going to make great leaders, then you simply need to get out more and open your eyes.
I’m also proud to say that I’ve been blessed to be the father of a young leader for over a quarter of a century. I make this post in honor of her birthday. She has brought continual joy into the life of both her mom and dad. She gives us hope for our future when we take stock of who she has become and is becoming.
She is grounded in honor and purpose. She does not hold back. She cares and does not shy away from what that caring may mean in the actions she must take. She thinks, she feels, she does. I’m so very proud to claim her as my major contribution in adding to the hope we all need.
Happy Birthday!
