Leaders are goal-setters. Leaders understand that knowing how to do something is secondary to knowing why it needs to be done. Leaders understand the importance of putting the ‘what’ before the ‘how.’
In our society we are trained to move quickly to the solution. Where the solution is a ‘no-brainer’ we indeed know the right move. Most issues, challenges, or opportunities are not best met by impulse … they require some thought – a reduction of impulses.
They require a clear understanding that leads to a Plan.
