The Desire & Intent of an individual leader is a powerful commitment of Impact.
The 20th Century was all about results. I contend that in the 21st Century, it is all about impact.
A focus on results is simply about what got done. A focus on impact is about what got done … and how we got it done – how the individual leader got it done.
A coaching client said to me, “I want to continue to get things done. But I no longer want to leave arms and legs in the wake of my delivery.” He had realized that recognition for ‘results-sake’ was not enough for the legacy he now desired and intended.
He had found his voice. His voice now resonated through the acoustics of authentic purpose.
This is wonderful, impact is key, getting work done is paramount, as a leader getting things done shows your efficiency.
